Dive into the city-building genre: the underwater sim Life Below is out now

Life Below from Kasedo Games and Megapop is now ready for your dives. An underwater strategy game where you build coral reefs and save ecosystems—relaxing building set against a serious backdrop.

Publisher Kasedo Games and Norwegian studio Megapop have officially released Life Below for PC. Instead of building skyscrapers or paving cities, here you build coral reefs. Deep down in the ocean, where life is hanging by a thread.

Reef-Building Instead of City-Building

In this strategy-sim hybrid, you take on the role of Thalassa, who has been tasked by Gaia, the Earth goddess, with saving the dying ocean. With the help of the mysterious Reef Heart, you place energy-channeling corals, resource-producing clams, and more than 40 animal species—from monkfish to hammerhead sharks. Those who build a healthy ecosystem attract new inhabitants, sometimes using bait. Those who are careless will soon find themselves battling algae blooms, oil spills, and invasive species.

The story campaign was penned by Rhianna Pratchett, who has previously written scripts for titles such as Tomb Raider. The developers drew on advice from marine biologists to offer a reasonably authentic experience.
