Little Nightmares 3: New projects, lots of game scenes and interviews with developers
A release shortly before Halloween, a world full of horror: Bandai Namco and Supermassive Games present Little Nightmares 3 in detail and let us take a look behind the scenes in our Dev Talk.
It's summer, the sun is shining (more or less) and you don't really want to have to think about the dark fall again. But Halloween is coming - and with it the sequel to a celebrated horror adventure series. Little Nightmares 3 will be released on October 10, just two weeks before the horror festival. In the middle of the summer, publisher Bandai Namco and developer Supermassive Games are now popping in with presentations on the spooky sequel. For example with this showcase event.
At the Little Nightmares Showcase event, host Jane Douglas chats with Little Nightmares Franchise Director Lucas Roussel about the importance of sound effects in the series, about the "Sounds of Nightmares", before discussing horror stories and podcasts with Narrative Director Lonnie Nadler and Transmedia Manager Alizée Debart. And more: a comic series and a stop-motion project are planned! Shortly beforehand, Bandai Namco also announced Little Nightmares VR: Altered Echoes as a spin-off with a short teaser. Yep, you will soon be able to experience the typical Little Nightmares horror in spatial, virtual reality. No further details are currently known. But as you can see, the Little Nightmare franchise is stronger than ever before.
Detailed gameplay presentation: With Low and Alone at the horror fair
The Carnevale trailer from Bandai Namco has more game scenes from Little Nightmares 3 for you, without any developer talk. In the recording, accompany the two main characters Low and Alone on their way through a dangerous funfair full of weird characters. Despite the rotating merry-go-rounds, the market lights and the rolling Ferris wheels, the atmosphere at this market is a very bad one. Nasty creatures beat up their decapitated victims in the rain, others hunt Low and Alone and the two of them sneak past dormant enemies in front of the chain carousel in a gloomy setting.
Little Nightmares 3 can be played alone (with an AI partner) and in co-op. Each character takes on different tasks in the game. For example, Low wields a bow and Alone wields a heavy wrench, which can be used to smash attacking enemies to pieces. As in every Little Nightmare, it is important that both characters support each other in the many puzzles.
