Little Nightmares 3: Alone trailer with connection to horror author Edgar Allan Poe

On October 10, Bandai Namco will continue the Little Nightmares series with the third installment. The new “Alone” trailer not only ties in with the character Alone, but also with horror master Poe.

After a nearly five-year hiatus, the acclaimed horror series returns with Little Nightmares 3. The horror adventure takes you back to the eerie world of “The Nowhere” and introduces several new features. For the first time, there are two playable characters to choose from: Low and Alone. Each character has their own distinctive tool – Low carries a bow and arrow, while Alone has a wrench.

On October 10, your journey begins in the gloomy “Strudel” (The Spiral) of Little Nightmares 3. A nightmarish world, at least as creepy as the horror scenarios described in writing by horror author Edgar Allan Poe. The character “Alone” and the current trailer of the same name are clearly not named by chance: With quotes from Edgar Allan Poe's poem Alone, published in 1829, the trailer creates a connection, for example through the following original lines: “From childhood's hour, I have not been as others were. I have not seen as others saw. I could not awaken my heart to joy at the same tone.” The poem deals with feelings of isolation, otherness, and inner turmoil – which explains why it is often used as a source of inspiration for dark or psychologically profound stories.
