Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls - Open Beta Starts in July, and Here's What to Expect

PlayStation Publishing has announced an open beta for Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls on PC and PS5 from July 24th to 26th 2026. Fifteen fighters will face off across six stages, and you’ll be right in the thick of the action.

What to Expect in the Beta

Ahead of the official release on August 6, you’ll get to really let those superhero fists fly in Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls. The 4v4 tag-team brawler from Arc System Works and PlayStation Publishing lets you choose from 15 fighters, including Blade, and battle it out on 6 stages within the beta, including a nighttime version of Marvel’s New York.

In addition to online lobbies with casual and ranked matches, there’s a local versus mode for couch sessions with friends, as well as an extensive training mode to fine-tune your combos. For those who prefer a story: Three chapters of the Episode Mode centered on the Amazing Guardians will give you a taste of the narrative.

The open beta runs exclusively from July 24th to 26th and is likely your last chance to test out the ultimate 4v4 fighter on PC before its major release on August 6th, 2026.

Anyone who pre-orders Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls on Gamesplanet will receive three cosmetic extras for the lobby, regardless of the edition chosen: the Infinity Gauntlet as equipment, Baby Groot as a companion and a Cosmic Surfboard as a vehicle.

The Digital Deluxe Edition also includes the Year 1 Character and Stage Pass – featuring four additional characters, an extra stage, and Howard the Duck and Cosmo as lobby pets. The Ultimate Edition also includes costumes for Spider-Man, Storm, Iron Man, Captain America and Doctor Doom, as well as the animated Chroma colour option for all 20 starting characters.
