Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls - New Character Guides Featuring Blade and Wolverine in Action

Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls offers two new character guides featuring particularly popular antiheroes with superhero status: vampire hunter Blade showcases his blade skills, and the gruff Wolverine lets loose in Berserker Mode.

Just before the start of the Open Beta, Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls is unveiling more teasers for fighting game fans: Two new character guide videos focus on Blade and Wolverine and show how these two Marvel icons fare in the 4v4 tag-team brawler.

Blade: The Daywalker with a Killer Instinct

Blade fights on the Samurai Outriders team and brings his Muramasa blade, also known as the Black Blade. There are few weapons that can pose a threat to Wolverine, but the Black Blade is one of them. His unique Heart Stopper move hurls a silver stake that puts opponents into a “Marked for Death” state. If the stake hits, Blade instantly teleports to his target. He recharges his Heart Stopper charges with “Up the Stakes,” while “Daywalker Deflect” serves as a counterattack. “Bullet Barrage” rounds out his arsenal as another ranged move that can be chained directly into Heart Stopper.

Wolverine: Claws, Fury, Berserker Mode

In Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls, Wolverine fights for the Unbreakable X-Men and relies entirely on aggression in close combat. His ranged attack, X-Force, can even be fired from the air and neutralizes enemy projectiles; the EX version also causes a ground bounce. Feral Shred serves as an anti-air uppercut with armor in its EX variant, while Eviscerate is a forward attack that also provides armor in its medium version. The more often Wolverine lands hits, the closer he gets to activating Berserker Mode, which enhances his entire moveset.

The open beta for Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls runs this weekend from July 24-26th, with the full release for PC following on August 6th.
