Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is the remake of the 2004 classic, with reworked graphics and many improvements. As part of the State of Play, Konami set August 28th 2025 as the release date - and showed a new trailer.

What's the game about?

In Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater you take on the role of Snake, who goes on a secret mission in a hostile jungle area during the Cold War. You have to fight your way through dangerous environments and proceed strategically in secret in order to skilfully eliminate enemies. Since the PS2 original from 2004 has a proud metascore of 91/100 on the rating aggregator Metacritic (including the ‘must-play award’), a revised remake in 2025 should appeal to old hands and newcomers alike.
