Monster Hunter Wilds: Capcom unveils major Title Update 4 featuring Gogmazios, new gear, and fresh challenges
At today's showcase, Capcom unveiled the free Title Update 4 for Monster Hunter Wilds, which will be released on December 16, 2025. The update introduces Gogmazios, a new Elder Dragon, and much more.
Title Update 4 significantly expands the endgame of Monster Hunter Wilds and delivers several pieces of content specifically designed for experienced hunters. From Hunter Rank 100 onwards, you can face the new main threat: the Elder Dragon Gogmazios, whose striking appearance and enormous striking power require a coordinated group strategy. For this mission, you can form teams of up to eight members for the first time by teaming up with support hunters and familiar characters such as Nadia or Fabius. Those who have completed the main story and are looking for challenging battles will find one of the most intense boss fights in the game here.
Defeat Gogmazios to obtain new materials that you can use to upgrade your Artian weapons of rarity 8 to the more powerful Gogma Artian level. These upgrades retain existing bonuses and add an additional ability and a randomly assigned group-oriented trait. With Gogma Enhancement, you can fine-tune your weapons or completely reroll their additional abilities – an option that gives you a lot of freedom when fine-tuning your builds in Monster Hunter Wilds.
Even more challenges for Christmas
On December 24, another high-level challenge follows with the battle-hardened Jin Dahaad. Here, too, Hunter Rank 100 is a prerequisite. The battle promises new materials for hunter and Palico equipment and is aimed at all those who crave further endgame trials.
The new armor refinement system provides a key quality upgrade for Monster Hunter Wilds. Once you have reached the required rank, you can expand the limits of your equipment: higher levels for armor spheres, more slots for rarity 5 and 6, and thus significantly more room to prepare your builds for extreme attacks such as those from Gogmazios.
In addition, there are optional 9★ quests with increased difficulty that offer special nameplates as recognition, as well as hunting exercises in which you compete against hardened monsters in controlled arenas. You will be supported by new helper hunters: Nadia with her light crossbow, greatsword specialist Griffin, and Nightmist from the Aurora unit will be at your side in battle.
At the end of the year, the seasonal event “Festival of Harmony: Glow of Lights” (December 19, 2025 to January 14, 2026) will also begin. The Great Site will be transformed into a winter wonderland with exclusive equipment, special meals, event quests, and new decorations. During this period, Fabius and Nadia will also be able to join your missions.
Capcom has also confirmed that Title Update 4 will be the last major content update of this kind. However, there will be further patches, as well as a small additional update in February with a new battle-hardened variant. Further details will follow at a later date.
