Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance – Extended-cut trailer for TGS 2026 features Teostra

At the Tokyo Game Show 2026, Capcom unveiled an extended cut of the first trailer for Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance, which, amongst other things, reveals the return of Teostra.

With Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance, Capcom is following up at TGS 2026 by presenting monster hunters with an extended trailer for the action RPG’s first major expansion. Over 3 minutes of gameplay and cutscenes – brilliant! Ascendance continues the story of Monster Hunter Wilds and adds new areas and new monsters to the mix. In the Eastern Lands, you’ll face fresh threats, including Elder Dragons, whose mere appearance causes massive devastation.

New Hunter Actions and Master Rank

Continue to take on the role of a hunter and unleash devastating new attacks with the new Amplifier Armguards. In addition to the new combat options, the Ascendance expansion introduces Master Rank quests, designed to offer experienced hunters fresh challenges.

Anyone wishing to dive into the expansion will need a copy of Monster Hunter Wilds and must have completed the 7★ quest ‘Awakening from a Dream’. Capcom has not yet announced a specific release date for the PC version. It’s expected to be released sometime in 2027.
