Mortal Kombat 1 revealed for a Septemeber 19th 2023 release date!

Developer NetherRealm Studios and publisher Warner Bros unveil the next chapter in the popular fighting series, with Mortal Kombat 1 set for release later this year on September 19th. Watch the explosive reveal trailer now!

This year is special for the Mortal Kombat series, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary, and to mark the occasion, developer NetherRealm Studios are going back to where it all began by soft rebooting the series (hence the name Mortal Kombat 1). While a reboot was inevitable, this does not mean that it's forgetting the past as the story looks to be taking place after the events of Mortal Kombat 11 - where Fire God Liu Kang created a new universe. In this reveal trailer we get a taste of what to expect, as several returning faces such as Kitana, Liu Kang, Sub Zero, Scopion, Kung Lao and more look to take on a new threat.

As with other entries in the series expect a good amount of blood, gore and fatalities that make your eyes pop out from the sheer amount of brutality. Let's hope Friendships from Mortal Kombat 11 make a return once more!
