Gamesplanet visits GDC 2018

A quick step-by-step summary of the Game Developers Conference where Gamesplanet met with publishers to feed its game catalog and offer you the best deals throughout the year.

Gamesplanet at GDC 2018!

Last week we had the chance to visit GDC 2018 and meet with developers, publishers and friends of Gamesplanet to discuss their upcoming releases and what things we can look forward in the future. It was a busy few days at the convetion floor but we survived and were lucky enough to get hands on with some upcoming titles as well as some lovely pink socks from Fatshark (thanks guys). Here's a look at what happened at the event last week:

A busy schedule of meetings

There were certainly plenty of events to look at with conferences for all kinds of games, hardware and software taking place. Navigating was made even easier with this handy guide to help our team find their way at the event.

While the gloom of the weather and construction work may have looked dingy outside, it didn't stop the sun from shining at the event with plenty of things to look forward to at the event itself. GDC 2018 was the hub for all gaming development, meetings and festivities spread out among various hotels located within blocks of the Moscone center as well as several offices in San Francisco.

A section of the famous Moscone Center, spread over 3 huge buildings in downtown San Francisco on Howard Street.

Razer's offices near Moscone.

An after meeting party from Paradox: the little party between friends and fans of strategy games, at the Corner-Op Game of the 4th street!

Techland's friends do battle with the Battle Royale mode in the North Hall.

Occulus mode looking to get the biggest stand at the event.

A small gift from the Fatshark team: the most beautiful socks in the world!

Who has the best techno to model all kinds of particles in a video game? It's PopcornFX! They are French (Bordelais same!), Cocorico!

The interior of Moscone West with lots of people playing video games in it!

The discreet immaculate offices of Capcom (on loan from AT & T Park).

Dead Cells at the Indie Megabooth: At Gamesplanet for PC, soon on console!

The American genius of business at work: legalized for recreational use since last January at SF, a weed store has opened a few meters from the Moscone Center. Green, very ...

There was also plenty of games to discuss at the event, with interest in Far Cry 5, Vermintide 2, Ancestor Legacy, Crash Bandicoot, Monster Hunter and tons of Battle Royale modes including Dying Light Bad Blood or Fear the Wolves!
