GDC 2019: Nightdive shows off 21 minutes of System Shock Remake Gameplay
Yesterday we got our first look at the teaser trailer for System Shock 3, but that's not the only System Shock game in development as Nightdive Studios are currently working on a remake for the original game. Thanks to a new gameplay video from GDC 2019, we get a look at the improved System Shock with new visuals, sounds and more.
This is not the first time that Nightdive Studios has brought System Shock to life as they've previously worked on Remastered versions of the original 2 games on PC. However System Shock Remake is a completely new project and is being built from scratch to offer a modern remake (much like the recent Resident Evil 2).
The clip shows you the pre-alpha version of the System Shock Remake, so the game is missing some enemies, weapons, effects, and sounds. Much of the design for the original remains intact and areas are largely the same as they were before, with an fresh coat of paint to make it look more modern.
System Shock Remake is coming to PC, Xbox One and PS4. The release date remains unknown.
