Bethesda brings Gamescom into your living room!

The world's largest trade fair for computer and video games will only be held online this year as GamesCom 2020 hosts developer streams. Bethesda Softworks will have their own event over the weekend with in-depth talks.

Gamescom is one of the biggest events in gaming, sadly this year the event has had to move online, but that's not stopping many publishers from hosting online events. From August 28th to August 30th, publisher Bethesda will be giving games a series of behind the scenes looks at their most popular franchises. Those who don't want to miss anything should subscribe to their Twitch channel). Of course there are no costs for this and you're free to sit in the comfort of your own home while watching!

The complete Bethesda livestream program at a glance. We now present the most important dates in more detail

Friday, August 28th

The live broadcast kicks off on Friday at 3:30pm BST (10:30 EDT). At 4pm BST (11am EDT) the Gamescom talks start over on their Twitch Channel. Pete Hines, thee Vice President and Head of Marketing at Bethesda will start the show with some developer interviews.

Then at 8pm BST (4pm EDT), the two technology magicians Billy Khan and Roman Hartung will talk shop about how to play Doom Eternal with insane 1,000 FPS (frames per second). During this conversation they will surely get anything but hot air: Khan works as a senior engine programmer for Bethesda, with previous work including titles like Halo Wars, Dishonored 2 and Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus. While Roman, also known as "der8auer" (The Farmer), works for the Berlin-based hardware distributor Caseking and is considered an overclocking luminary, which means he's able to crank up the GPU and CPU horsepower much more than what most gamers are used to, pushing hardware to their limits and beyond.

Under what conditions can Doom Enternal be played at 1,000 FPS? You'll get the answer in the Bethesda livestream on Friday August 28th

Saturday, August 29th

The weekend continues with three developer interviews on Saturday, with the first one giving us a look at the MMO Fallout 76 at 4pm BST with Executive Producer Jeff Gardiner and Head of Design Emilio Pagliarulo answering your questions.
