Nice Day For Fishing - Team17 announces release date with trailer

What began as a gag on YouTube is now becoming a reality: the video producers of Viva La Dirt League are sending their iconic NPC Baelin on his own adventure with Team17 - from May 29th.

In Nice Day For Fishing, you take on the role of the good-natured fisherman and ex-NPC Baelin, who is the last adventurer left in the village of Honeywood after a mysterious accident. Now it's up to him to protect the village from rising evil, but not with sword and shield, but with fishing rod and magic.

Fish & Fight instead of classic RPG

Despite the epic premise, you can't expect a classic action RPG, but rather a ‘Fight & Fish’ adventure. You explore a humorously staged fantasy world, fight against aggressive sea creatures and collect valuable materials in the process. If you fish and fight successfully, you can gradually rebuild Honeywood, unlock new spells and improve your equipment. Your fishing book will also be delighted with every new copy - and those who complete their collection can look forward to special magical blessings. In short: catching fish, defeating fish, saving the village - a normal day in the life of Baelin in the new game.
