Powerful fantasy action: Fatekeeper shows itself in 8 minutes of gameplay

Good graphics, but apparently even better melee action: THQ Nordic presents the action RPG Fatekeeper with a clip lasting more than 8 minutes. Worth watching!

The upcoming action RPG Fatekeeper makes an impressive comeback with an eight-minute clip. The first-person RPG from Paraglacial – a small team of just 12 people – transports you to a harsh fantasy world as a magic-wielding melee fighter. Graphically, it looks pretty awesome in the video, but more importantly, the combat seems to really pack a punch. Brutal, intense, and apparently always challenging, without degenerating into wild hack-and-slash battles. At least that's how it looks in this impressive gameplay video from publisher THQ Nordic.

The Fatekeeper video takes you to the higher ruins of an ancient mountain fortress, a mystical place full of relics from bygone eras and dangerous creatures. Between crumbling walls and dark corridors, players take down enemies in powerful close combat, combined with versatile elemental magic. At the center of it all is an aged druid, a playable hero who is astonishingly versatile. Offensive front-line fighters and magic-wielding mystics who prefer to unleash fire, frost, or other elements from a distance are equally catered to in Fatekeeper.

Fatekeeper is set to launch in early access in 2026. The game will then also be available on Gamesplanet.
