Genre: Action / Shooter | Release date: 6 October 2026
The next major chapter in the Gears saga takes you right back to the beginning: Gears of War: E-Day is a prequel set 14 years before the first game. As the young Marcus Fenix and Dominic Santiago, you’ll experience Emergence Day, when the Locust horde bursts from underground and overrun humanity. The setting is the new city of Kalona, and the story is an origin tale about a war that initially seems lost. The campaign in GoW: E-Day can be played solo or co-op. It also features a multiplayer mode with classic PvP and a revamped Horde mode for up to twelve players. Gears of War: E-Day is powered by Unreal Engine 5 and, with this revamp, celebrates the series’ 20th anniversary.
