It's Day 2 of our Big Summer Sale and hopefully the first day wasn't too much for you as we have another round of daily discounts coming your way! Today it's all about Trucks, Agents, Zombies and Hedgehogs.
Far Cry 3
Imagine you and a group of friends go on vacation to a tropical island but then get kidnapped by pirates, their leader Vaas is little crazy but that helps set him up as a great villain driving the plot forward. The real star though is the huge open world island you explore at will, it's teaming with animals, plants, rivers and outposts - a real paradise.
Since this is an open world game there is plenty to do from side quests to liberating outposts to further your cause, eventually as you progress you're unlock more skills and better equipment you can use in the field such as Hang Gliders that can be found around the region allowing for an aerial view of the surrounding areas and faster travel. You can also skin many animals around the world to use for better items and allow for even more ammo to be carried by the player. Tatau are gained alongside skills in the three different classes: The Heron, The Shark, and The Spider. Every skill gives Jason a new part of the Tatau, some parts of the Tatau (the small dots) are received for finding relics scattered across the Rook Islands.
The game also features a multiplayer and coop mode though they are not as great as the game's single player campaign which is the highlight. I never managed to complete Far Cry 3 but I tell you the time I did have in the game made me want to live there (though perhaps not without a gun).
Save 75% off Far Cry 3 or up to 75% off the rest of the franchise today!
Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Blacklist
Sam Fisher returns as the leader of the recently created Fourth Echelon, this time he has allies to help him in his mission such as a returning Anna Grimsdottir and newcomers Isaac Briggs and Charlie Cole. The story sees you travel to various locations such as a Santa's workshop to Guantanamo Bay, from London to Philadelphia. It's another global affair taking place all around the world, this time however you're doing it in style as you're giving your own cargo plane the Paladin. From here you're able to equip loadouts, start missions and use it as a hub for the entire game (of which there is plenty do). There is so much content in this game that you have a single player campaign, some coop missions and multiplayer - each one offering hours of gameplay.
This is the best game in the series since Chaos Theory released way back in 2005, it goes back to allowing you more freedom in how you complete a level whether that's being more stealthy or tackling things head on, something that was lacking in Conviction. If you want to fully experience this game you might want to find a friend to play it with, but if you just want to do the single player that's fine as well and just as enjoyable.
Splinter Cell Blacklist and Splinter Cell: Conviction are both 75% off today only!
Euro Truck Simulator 2
Like many people I am not a fan of the Simulator genre of games, most of them are lackluster and can be very boring. Euro Truck Simulator 2 is not only the best simulation game but also one that can break the barriers that others put up by making a game that appeals to everyone, even if you're not normally a fan of simulations you'll find this is a great experience. It's a simple game at heart, you drive around roads delivering things for companies or even setup your own to be a transport tycoon. Driving around the roads of Europe is such a thrill, exploring places you'd probably never visit and being a trucker. You can even customise your experience by purchasing new trucks and outfitting them with custom lights, bars, horns, beacons, smoke exhausts, and more.
Nothing beats a drive in Euro Truck Simulator 2 using the in-game radio to listen to some music (or use your own), it offers a game that can be used to unwind and just relax with.

Call of Juarez: Gunslinger
Imagine if you had a western mixed with Max Payne, the end result would be Call of Juarez: Gunslinger. The game is pure arcade action and is one of the best western games ever created, up there with the likes of Red Dead Redemption. You play as Silas Greaves, a bounty hunter that tells tales of his adventures and the encounters he's had to face. Along the way you might encounter Billy the Kidd or even Jesse James, each one might end up a showdown where the fastest gun wins - sadly this might be the worst thing about the game is the duels, they can be a little tricky and at times it might take you a while to win any.
There is also an arcade mode for extra fun where you can compete on leaderboards against friends, these are short bursts of action but are so rewarding and makes a break from the story mode (which isn't very long but it doesn't matter). I can easily recommend this for anyone that's a fan of shooters or someone that wants a good western game on PC. This is probably the best PC gamers are going to get until we see a Red Dead Redemption title appear on it.
Call of Juarez: Gunslinger can be yours today for 75% off!
Dead Rising 2 - Off the Record
The original Dead Rising was a great sandbox zombie survival game where you play as Frank West, a photojournalist who tries to survive an outbreak in a Colorado shopping mall. Dead Rising 2 took place 5 years after the end of the original was based in Nevada with the lead falling to Chuck Greene who had to save his daughter. Dead Rising 2 - Off the Record takes the original Dead Rising 2 and adds Frank West to the mix allowing for a different spin on the game. Many of the same elements from the original games are featured but there are some improvements and additional things added to this version with new missions, cutscenes (including several different endings), environments, enemies, and weapons. Also returning from Dead Rising is the photo mode which let's you capture zombie poses for PP (prestige points) that you can use to upgrade weapons or skills.
Gameplay sees you taking on various missions in a 72 hour period, if you decide to take a more relaxed approach there is a sandbox mode that let's you do just that. The game features Coop allowing one player to be Frank West and the other Chuck Greene, it's a great game to play with a friend causing chaos against some zombies is rewarding. You can also combine weapons to create some really awesome items such as a laser sword (let's just call it a lightsaber) or a power guitar to unleash some killer rock on the hoard.
It's a fun game with a good story and an even better coop experience, if you're bored of the usual zombie games then this might be a good change of pace as it offers plenty of crazy gameplay and some humour that's refreshing.
The entire Dead Rising Franchise is on sale today for 75% off!, including Dead Rising 2 and Dead Rising 3!
DiRT Showdown
Start your engines for a high octane racer filled with plenty of arcade and dirt tracks to keep you making sandcastles all year long. DiRT Showdown is unlike previous games in the series as it focuses more on the arena style . You do have races like any other DiRT title but they are more self contained and the main focus this time relies on the quirky arena style game modes such as Demolition Derby, which is the highly addictive when you get into a ring with other cars to fight for supremacy!
The game sees you start a "Tour" career which sees you build your way from the bottom in a bid to become the ultimate racing champion and as you progress you'll be able to upgrade your car to be even better. If you have never played a DiRT game before this would be an ideal entry into the series as it doesn't focus too much on Rally racing but instead gives an arcade experience that anyone can enjoy - much like a Mario Kart in a way, that's not to say the game doesn't also feature racing but it's more stripped back.
We have DiRT Showdown and DiRT 3 on sale for 75% off today!
Sonic Adventure 2
Back in 2002 the world got Nintendo's GameCube and this was one of the launch titles, I picked it up and was instantly sucked in from the opening moments where Sonic^ races down a busy street on a skateboard - it was *Sonic but not like anything we'd experienced before. We had 3D Sonic games before but until Sonic Adventure 2 they were not really good and always felt a little clunky, SA2 went back to what made the series popular and focused on speed. Like Sonic Adventure before it you had several playable characters to pick from and each one had their own unique set of gameplay stages. You could play as Sonic/Shadow and focus on high speed action levels, Knuckles/Rouge with their exploration levels or Tails/Eggman with their mech shooter levels (possibly the weakest levels).
The story can be a little cheesy at times but that makes it even more enjoyable, there is so much to do in the game and you can even raise little Chaos in a garden like cyber pets by feeding them fruit and evolving them (think Pokémon for Sonic). Level design was a little bit of a mixed bag with some levels not being particularly well designed, considering how many were jam packed into the game it's easy to forgive. It also featured a pretty awesome soundtrack with levels like City Escape, White Jungle, Live and Learn as well as separate character themes all full of upbeat tempos (unless you're playing Amy's Song).
Sonic Adventure 2 is one of my all time favourite Sonic games, it might have it's faults but any Sonic fan should appreciate this game as it's one of the better titles.
We have it and the entire franchise - including the Sonic Games Collection for 75% off today only - Live and Learn!!
Sonic Generations
This is a mix of everything Sonic, it blends Classic and Modern versions of the franchise making it the ultimate Sonic experience - Sonic meets his younger self to take on history. The story involves both versions of Sonic trying to take down a mysterious new power that is taking all the energy out of the world and time. All levels take place from a mix of the entire franchise, from Green Hill Zone to City Escape each one has a 3D and 2D version. What's great about this is that certain every level is resigned so you're unlikely to play the exact same version you once did, one example is the City Escape level with Classic Sonic - it's a brand new take on the already popular level from Sonic Adventure 2 featuring skateboarding on a 2D plane.
Aside from each level both versions of Sonic have their own abilities which can be purchased from the store in game, these will allow simple things such as speed boosts during levels or beginning with 10 rings during a reset. The game features 9 different levels, each one offering up 2 separate versions of the level focusing on either Classic or Modern Sonic.
If you have never played a Sonic game before this is possibly the best one you could jump into as it's the best the franchise has to offer, we're even getting another Sonic game coming in 2017 which looks to be a sequel to this featuring both Classic and Modern versions of Sonic.
We have it and the entire franchise - including the Sonic Games Collection for 75% off today only!
Tom Clancy's The Division
A pandemic has taken over New York City and you play as a Sleeper Agent, who is called into action to try and restore order to the streets of this once great beacon of hope. As you'd expect in an open world game this features plenty of free roam activities for you to engage in, either as Solo or with friends. The story sees you travel all over New York as you level up and build up your home base which allows you access to all kinds of upgrades. Think of The Division much like a Diablo title with the goal being focused on skills, each one can customized to your playstyle and as you progress you'll get even more to pick from. Weapons and Gear can be found all through the City as you explore with each one being important to your survival, maybe you'll come across a sniper with some bonus stats which sets enemies on fire or perhaps you'll find a backpack that can hold more items.
While the game does have it's flaws it can still be very enjoyable to play this as is a stunning take on New York and if you're a fan of Tom Clancy game's then you'll feel at home here. It's a challenging Co-op shooter with plenty of rewarding moments and a visually impressive City that you'll be sure to want to explore.
