Star Citizen: Procedural Planets v2, 30 minutes of New Gameplay Footage
On October 9th, the annual CitizenCon 2016 was held and this year we got to look at a deeper system, in this brand new video from Robot Space Industries we get to see just what Procedural Planets will be like, as well as getting a look at a massive sandworm which looks like something straight out of Star Wars.
Game Director Chris Roberts took to the stage to showcase off new tech, and explain their visual for it going forward.
It's absolutely artist driven," Roberts said. "We're using the procedural techniques to author planets on a global scale very quickly, but to give it a real sense of character. There are quite a few other games using procedural tech to do planets, and those achievements are impressive and cool, but I want to be able to say: I want to build this planet that looks like Hoth. I want to build this planet that looks like Tatooine."

Star Citizen is still making it's rounds and though recent news about the single player portion being delayed has been disappointing, more development time can't really bad a bad thing can it?
