No Man's Sky: Update 6.2 “Remnant” brings scrap hunting, gravity tool, and new expedition

No Man's Sky is getting lots of new free content again with update 6.2 “Remnant.” New vehicle modules, a gravity tool, industrial scrap worlds, and a limited-time community expedition invite you to explore.

With “Remnant,” the exemplary developer Hello Games is delivering the free update 6.2 for No Man's Sky—including a new trailer. Remnant is all about scrap worlds, your Exocraft Colossus, and a multi-tool attachment that manipulates gravity. How convenient that we still have No Man's Sky on offer for a short time with a 66% discount. This means you can marvel at the new features for yourself in the game.

At the heart of the update is the Gravitino Coil for your Multi-Tool. With it, you can pull, push, or throw physical objects around in No Man's Sky. Industrial waste, golden spheres from ruins, base spheres, or even Sentinel drones can be grabbed and thrown. Drones that are hit are temporarily incapacitated and can be used against each other.

Planets with usable scrap now also feature industrial waste: from small piles to huge mountains of trash, some of which is radioactive, explosive, or toxic. You collect resources with the Gravitino coil and deposit them in new waste processing plants. This allows you to clean up the world of No Man's Sky, extract materials, and collect rewards. A tutorial and new player titles accompany aspiring scrap dealers in their new job.

The Colossus Exocraft has been extensively expanded with the update: interchangeable cabins with their own cockpits, paint jobs, off-road wheels or tracks, a tilting loading area with a magnetic field, an on-board oven for on the go, and a scraper blade that extracts resources when ramming. Another new feature is the Cyclops visor, which allows you to scan from the driver's seat. Up to six named configurations can be saved. It's amazing how the game keeps growing and growing and growing...

The new Remnant Expedition runs for around six weeks. Rewards include posters, badges, titles, a gesture, exclusive Colossus modules (camouflage paint, asymmetrical cabin, mechanical spider legs), and a five-piece “Heirloom” armor style.

In addition, Patch 6.2 improves cloud rendering, performance (including DLSS 4.5), Exocraft handling, multiplayer stability, and fixes numerous bugs. New Twitch Drops provide additional extras.
