Nova Roma Launches in Early Access: Build Like the Romans Now!

Since Rome wasn’t built in a day, the city-building game Nova Roma is now launching in Early Access. As the leader of a small group of citizens, you’ll build a new city far from the crumbling empire.

Nova Roma from developer Lion Shield and publisher Hooded Horse is a laid-back city-builder with an ancient Roman flair. You lead a group of citizens who have turned their backs on the crumbling Roman Empire and transform a small village into a thriving metropolis. Along the way, you’ll juggle complex supply chains, build aqueducts and dams, manage water flow and soil fertility, and ensure the well-being of your population—from food and pottery to education and entertainment in the Colosseum. As part of upcoming development steps, Lion Shield is planning new mechanics for gladiator battles in the Colosseum, as well as a racetrack for chariot races, which was removed from the launch build at the last minute. Updates and community feedback will guide the game’s expansion. So your input is also needed during Early Access when it comes to helping shape a fun city-building game.
