The opening of Pac-Man World 2 Re-Pac shows how a peaceful night in Pac-Land gives rise to a new threat. The trailer makes it clear why Pac-Man must embark on an adventure that will decide the fate of his homeland.

Everything begins peacefully in Pac-Man World 2 Re-Pac: Pac-Man and the villagers are asleep while the camera captures the night-time landscape. Everything seems harmonious and undisturbed. Suddenly, the ghosts appear. In the twilight, they roam Pac-Land, clearly looking for mischief. Even at this moment, the video hints that their actions will permanently disturb the peace of the night.

In their curiosity, the ghosts come across a tree with golden fruits hanging from it. They break them off, triggering something they themselves can hardly comprehend. Spooky emerges from the tree, which mutates into a mystical cloud in the trailer. His presence is in stark contrast to the otherwise colourful images of Pac-Land. Spooky wants to plunge the world into chaos.

The trailer also shows how the golden fruit – a symbol of peace – falls into Spooky's possession. Without it, Pac-Land is defenceless, and the magnitude of the threat becomes apparent.
