Planet Zoo 2 is now ready to go: Frontier Developments’ zoo simulation launches today on PC, featuring aquatic animals, birds and wildlife reserves.

The gates are now open: Planet Zoo 2 has been released and you’re invited to care for and protect animals. It includes new features that weren’t available in the first instalment. The press is already raving about the sequel. With the game sitting at a strong 82/100 over on review website OpenCritic!

In this zoo management simulation, you build zoos and look after the wellbeing of your animals. Unlike its predecessor, Planet Zoo, this is the first time the game features fully aquatic species and flying birds, so you’ll also be designing aquariums and aviaries. Through conservation projects, you release animals into wildlife reserves you’ve designed yourself, which extend far beyond your zoo. Four new and five returning scenery themes offer plenty of building materials, whilst in the Frontier Workshop you can swap blueprints with the community.

The Deluxe Edition adds six extra animal species and exclusive enclosure signs on top.
