Bethesda kicks off the Quake World Championships qualifiers today, offers $1,000,000 in prize money for winners of the fast paced arena shooter Quake Champions which is currently in Open Beta.
During the E3 Press event by Bethesda a few weeks back, they announced a tournament for the fast paced arena shooter Quake Champions, which is currently getting praise in open beta. The Quake World Championship kicks off today and will run until the QuakeCon in August. Players from around the globe will be able to battle it out against one another in an attempt to get a chunk of the $1,000,000 prize money which is up for grabs. They will compete in both Duel (Solo 1v1 Matches) and Sacirifice (Team Matches) in a number of rounds to determine who the best Quake Champions player (and team) is!
Later today we'll see the first round kick off over on the Twitch Channel, so we can see who will walk away with some cool prize money.
