RAGE 2 - 4k PC Graphics Comparison (Ultra, Medium, Low)

How does the open world action shooter RAGE 2 look like in 4k on PC? And what about performance? We take a look at the game with a new Graphics Comparison from PixelPerfect using 3 presets.

Note: Since the game is rated as an 18 we've had to activate the age restriction on YouTube. Please watch the video on a 4k screen if you can so you don't miss any of the details.

For Bethesda's Open World action sequel RAGE 2 we were quite surprised. With the naked eye there are hardly any differences between the graphic settings, and even at the lowest setting RAGE 2 looks impressive. Bumping things up to Ultra there's not much extra detail to see, though there are some small changes to visual fidelity. This means that no matter which graphic setting you're using, you're going to get a visual treat regardless. For the video we tested the game using a RTX 2018 Ti at 4k, which had very little impact on performance. On average we noticed a 10-15 difference in FPS and in some environments there was a difference of 25 FPS, with reduced graphical settings in play.

Get a better look at the "differences" by watching the PixelPerfect clip on a 4K screen in full screen mode. One of the best examples comes from the rocks at the 5:00 and everything after that point. We also display which settings were used at the end of the video.
