Railway Empire 2 Annouced for a 2023 release!
Kalypso Media sets the course for 2023 with Railway Empire 2, a sequel to a strategist-celebrated railway strategy game.
Building and running a steamy railway empire - that's been tremendous fun for the last few years in Railway Empire from Kalypso (Steam reviews largely "Very Positive"). Now, during Gamescom 2022, Kalypso has announced the successor with a first trailer. Railway Empire 2 is set to enter your PC station in 2023 with a loud roar and you can get a taste of what awaits now!
In the early 1800s, the thriving economy is unimaginable without steam locomotives. Railway companies spring up, an entire continent is increasingly covered by a rail network, and the population rejoices at the connection of cities. And, of course, about the movement of goods. This is where you come in, because as an entrepreneur with a small railway company you start out as a clever strategist in the upcoming Railway Empire 2.
60 well-known steam locomotives roar over rails, railway bridges and through tunnels in Railway Empire 2. Clamped behind them are the state-of-the-art freight and passenger cars of the time. For the second part, publisher Kalypso is holding out the prospect of two huge maps that not only take continental Europe into account, but also represent the entire United States in the railway economic sim. It wouldn't be a sequel if everything wasn't to be bigger, more detailed and more lively than before.
But new features are also intended to make Railway Empire 2 easier to use. Five campaigns cover 14 different scenarios in which you can play with six different characters. Relax and build the railway network of your dreams in the free play mode and then get on board as Railway Empire 2 allows you to ride on the trains yourself, admire your work and the landscape.
Railway Empire 2 will be available in 2023 - then of course also on Gamesplanet.
