Play the Original 1996 Tomb Raider for Free in your Browser!
The OpenLara project allows players to relive the Classic Tomb Raider in their browser, with unlocked FPS!
After several months working on the project, modder XProger has brought the 1996 Tomb Raider to life in the form of OpenLara which is a brand new way to play Lara Croft in your browser! Best of all, this is completely FREE (at least for now) so everyone can give it a try!
Tomb Raider 1 in Browser
Even though this is not a complete remake, it does contain the City of Vilcabamba level (which was the game's second level) and is complete with bloodthirsty wolfpacks, underwater tunnel systems, and ferocious bears. It also features a "browse level" feature which will let players try out other levels from the game, as well as support for both a first person, and a third person view.
While the original was running at a much lower framerate (only supporting 30 FPS), the new version is capable of delivering an unlocked framerate that can push things even higher to what modern systems are capable of. If you wish to try the Browser version yourself you can do so over on the Project Page
