Rocket League Surpasses 25 Million Registered Players
The Future is looking pretty good for Rocket League, now they've reached 25 Million registered players over all 3 formats. Can nothing stop their runaway success?
Nothing is slowing down the phenomenal high speed arcade racer Rocket League, it's now seen over 25 Million users since it's launch way back in July 2015. Combined players have managed to reach over 1 Billion games in total, not bad for a game that's been highly praised arcade multiplayer title! Back when the game launched it was given away for free as part of the PlayStation Plus program which saw players flock behind this new smash hit. Since then it's been available in a number of sales and launched on Xbox One for the very first time last year (though sadly we still don't have cross platform between Xbox One and the other versions).
Breaking down this new infographic (from the Official Rocket League Twitter Page) we can see that 50% of all matches were competitive while only 33% were casual, the rest of the graph was made up or private and alternative matches. Additionally since it's launch, over 31 Million games of the 'Rumble' playlist have been played.
Rocket League continues to dominate in the market today, it's clear that it's still got enough fuel in the tank to go another few years at least. Where will the future take this adrenaline racer? We can only begin to speculate, though we're expecting Mac and Linux ports in the not too distant future.
