Sekiro - banging the boss on Donkey Kong Bongos
It was bound to happen - Streamers like to impress their audiences by playing difficult games like Dark Souls and pushing the challenge to extremes, like finishing the game with strange controllers. So why not tackle Sekiro with a Nintendo's Donkey Kong Bongo controller? Here you can see the video on how it's done.
SPOILERWARNING: Attention, the following scenes and pictures show boss fights in Sekiro: Shadows The Twice and could spoil the gaming experience massively.
You can't expect less from a known streamer - ATwerkingYoshi. He already amused us by playing Bloodborne while using a dance mat and if you can do that, you certainly won't have any problems mastering FromSoftware's Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice with Nintendo's Bongo controller, right? Bongo controller is well past it's prime as it was a peripheral for to the GameCube console, delivered with games like Donkey Kong: Jungle Beat. The first hurdle was to get the controller to run with Sekiro. A few workarounds were necessary until the Shinobi finally reacted to the desired beat. After last week's Lasagne PC, this doesn't surprise us any more.
Obviously the project succeeded and after only 10 hours and 131 revivals ATwerkingYoshi actually managed to control Sekiro with the Donkey Kong Bongos. In his Imgur gallery the streamer explains how he had to configure and set up the bongos. You can see the summary of the stream here in the YT clip. For a complete recording of the Bongo Seciro live stream, you'll need to access the ATwerkingYoshi Twitch Channel.
