Stealth tactics under the pirate flag: In Shadow Gambit, the curse is a blessing
On August 17th, developer and publisher Mimimi Games releases its stealth tactics game Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew. These videos show that fans of the genre are in for a golden age.
Shadow Gambit by Mimimi Games is a stealth strategy game that presents you with an alternate history of the Golden Age of Piracy. You take on the roles of Afia and the members of her pirate crew, each with their own personality and - through their cursed existence - supernatural abilities. Explore the Lost Caribbean and search for the legendary treasure of the dead Captain Mordecai, while fighting off the Inquisition of the Burning Maiden, who wants to completely eradicate everything magical and supernatural. Enjoy the trailers linked here and then try out the Steam demo while you wait for release!
Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew Special Features
- You choose from eight playable characters, each with different skills. For example, you can hurl enemies or friends through the air with Gaëlle's magic cannon, open a magical portal with Mr. Mercury's soul anchor or jump through space and time with Afia's mystical sword.
- You can assemble your own crew and tackle missions in any order. The game has an open sandbox structure that gives you more freedom in how you achieve your goals.
- You can even manipulate time to perfect your tactics and pause at any time to plan your actions, or rewind time to correct mistakes.
- Different difficulty levels and challenges will put your stealth tactics skills to the test.
- Travel to a variety of handcrafted islands with exotic beaches, bustling cities, mysterious swamps and more. Multiple missions can take place on different parts of the same islands - day or night.
- Make friends with Red Marley, a ghost ship with a living soul. Not only can the ship talk, but it also has a mind of its own.
