Start of the Racing Around the World campaign: Sonic VS Rally athlete Brandon Semenuk - who will win the race?

SEGA has conjured up a particularly wicked video for the start of the Racing Around the World campaign: In the live action trailer, multiple rally champion Brandon Semenuk competes against Sonic the Hedgehog.

SEGA is launching a new campaign. Under the motto “Racing Around the World”, the publisher is focusing on what counts for speed freaks: maximum speed! And rings. Because Sonic the Hedgehog is right there at the start, competing against three-time American Rally Champion and five-time Red Bull Rampage winner Brandon Semenuk in a race in the opening trailer for the joint campaign with Red Bull. Sonic relies on his blue legs - Semenuk steps on the gas pedal of his blue and yellow Subaru racer. The real world of Semenuk merges with Sonic's pixel tracks in the trailer, which is well worth watching.

The campaign can probably also be seen as a promo campaign for SEGA's upcoming Sonic racing game Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds. After the first announcement of the game at the State of Play in February, it shouldn't be long until the next trailer. In Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, you move with your racing vehicles through land, air, sea, space and even time. Sonic and his friends race across travel rings into strange dimensions, where the wildest tracks await you in single or online multiplayer mode.

23 drivers (at the start), 24 main race tracks, 15 CrossWorlds to discover and 45 vehicles - so Mario can dress warmly. Customize your speedster to suit your driving style, unlock special abilities in CrossWorlds and give your opponents a real boost with power-ups. Unfortunately, there is no release date for Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds yet. However, it will certainly be available soon on Gamesplanet.
