Sonic Superstars: SEGA opens the hunt for Dr. Eggman with launch trailer
With Sonic Superstars, SEGA has not just rehashed old Sonic gameplay, but delivers new worlds, exciting co-op gameplay and contemporary 2.5D graphics. A launch trailer announces the release.
It doesn't have to be the new Super Mario on the Switch when SEGA is already there with Sonic Superstars. The gameplay is strongly reminiscent of classic, popular Sonic titles and offers the finest sidescroller action. This has nothing to do with the open world of Sonic Frontiers - with Sonic Superstars, SEGA is focusing on the tried and tested Sonic gameplay feeling from Sonic's 2D times, working only with 3D models. For example, Sonic The Hedgehog and his friends Tails, Knuckles and Amy, who are also playable characters in Sonic Superstars.
A special feature of Sonic Superstars is the cooperative multiplayer mode. This allows you to play through the game locally with up to three other players - face Dr. Eggman together! Another mode lets up to eight players battle it out, locally or online. The new features of Sonic Superstars also include new abilities and powers.
