The Dark Beginning teaser for Sonic X Shadow Generations gives a glimpse of Shadow

Shadow, the black and red hedgehog and rival to Sonic, returns in October with renewed vigour in Sonic X Shadow Generations. For an epic adventure that combines old and new for a double dose of action and nostalgia! Sega's "Dark Beginning" trailer introduces the storyline.

The trailer begins in a laboratory where Maria Robotnik is trying to soothe Shadow. Their conversation is abruptly interrupted by an explosion, followed by an alarm signalling a hull breach in the experimental weapons wing. A dangerous subject has taken the opportunity to escape...

Sonic X Shadow Generations is a double adventure for Sonic fans with a brand new story campaign and the black Shadow. In a new story, you take on the role of Shadow and also experience the classic Sonic Generations completely remastered. This collection features iconic levels in 3D and 2D with enhanced graphics and bonus content. Shadow, equipped with new abilities for Sonic X Shadow Generations, including to stop time, must face off against his arch-nemesis Black Doom and relive significant moments from his past. The game also lets you step into the White Room, a world inspired by Sonic Frontiers that adds a new dimension to the adventure. Additional challenges, collectibles and bonus levels that extend the fun of the game are also included. Because where there is Shadow, there will also be plenty of light.
