Star Wars: Squadrons Gameplay Reveal Trailer
After an announcement at the beginning of the week (that didn't go unnoticed), EA has given us a new trailer for their upcoming Star Wars game, "Star Wars: Squadrons", which is due to arrive on October 2nd. This time they've given us a taste of the gameplay we can expect to play later this year. In addition to the different ships and cockpit views, the key points of the game are presented.
The campaign will be the starting point of your career as a pilot. Set after the destruction of the second Death Star, and will put you in the suit of a pilot from the Empire or the Rebellion (you'll be able to create custom pilots for both factions). Then there are multiplayer modes that will be played in a 5 player squad. There are the traditional "Dogfights" you'd expect from Star Wars, but also the "Fleet Battle" mode, that is divided into several stages to take you up to the destruction of the enemy mother ship (much like Star Wars Battlefront 2's Supremacy mode).
Customizations will be included in the game, from the ship and its interior decoration, to the pilot. With the precedent created by Star Wars Battlefront 2, we're waiting for clarification on the presence of microtransactions (or lack of), even if it is specified in the video that the cosmetic elements can be unlocked "simply by playing".
Star Wars Squadrons is coming to PC on October 2nd and will soon be available on Gamesplanet to pre-order.
