Eugen Systems Announces Steel Division 2 with an explosive trailer
Developer Eugen Systems is heading back to the battlefield with the strategy game Steel Division 2. Featuring a new setting, co-op play, 10v10 multiplayer modes and more.
Back in 2017 we got the epic RTS game Steel Division: Normandy 44, which featured historic battles and a challenging single player campaign. And now 2 years later developer Eugen Systems has announced a follow up to the original game with Steel Division 2. The game will be set in 1944 during Operation Bagration, which saw the Germans being pushed back by the Soviets. Along with a new WWII setting we're going to get to explore dynamic campaign missions and more.
According to Eugen Systems the new campaigns are dynamic and will be "highly repayable", with 25 maps in total that have a 1:1 scale for each one. Steel Division 2 will have over 600 units, a new art direction, revamped combat and an updated engine. The sequel will also feature co-op and 10v10 multiplayer battles.
"Each turn equals half a day, allowing players to form their strategy and plan their next encounter, while carefully managing their units and supply lines. Prospective commanders will be able to control entire army corps and subordinate battalions consisting of thousands of men."
As yet there is no release date for the sequel, but players can signup now to the mailing list for the game to get their hands on the exclusive cosmetic Ace at release (a Steam code will be provided at launch to the provided email).
