Nacon shows gameplay from Styx: Blades of Greed for the first time – major stealth comeback

Styx: Blades of Greed returns with its first gameplay video, showing how the goblin will sneak, climb, and experiment in the future.

Eight years after his last appearance, Styx is back. A new gameplay video gives you a first concrete impression of Styx: Blades of Greed. The third entry in the stealth series once again relies on a third-person perspective and sends you on a heist when it releases on February 19.

The setting is the continent of Iserian, which strongly emphasizes vertical level design. Instead of predefined paths, you are given open areas that invite experimentation. Sneaking, setting traps, or silently taking out enemies: how you proceed with the goblin is entirely up to you.

New are the powers of the so-called Quartz. With it, Styx can not only influence enemies but even alter the flow of time. Added to this are fresh tools such as gliders, metal claws, and grappling hooks, allowing you to scale walls or reach hard-to-access locations. Skill trees and runes let you further customize your playstyle.

On the technical side, Cyanide Studio is using Unreal Engine 5. For the first time, the series also adopts a Metroidvania structure, where new abilities open up earlier barriers. The goal remains clear: steal Quartz—and stay undetected.
