Tennis Manager 26: New “My Player” mode with a skill tree turns you into a tennis star

Tennis Manager 26 is getting a brand-new game mode: In “My Player,” you no longer take on the role of a coach, but instead become an up-and-coming, fully customizable tennis pro yourself.

Tennis Manager 25 has shown what Rebound CG is capable of when it comes to tennis simulation. With Tennis Manager 26, tennis management will be more accessible, require fewer clicks, and introduce a host of improvements overall. In terms of features, the developers have been working hard at training camp for the 2026 season. Among the new additions is the “My Player” game mode.

From Coach to Champion

Until now, your role in the Tennis Manager series has been clear: coach, tactician, academy director—the classic manager’s perspective. All of that remains, but the new “My Player” mode introduces a completely different way to play, which is included in the base game for PC and will also be available on mobile. Here, you don’t just take control of a player’s fate—you guide your own pro directly through their career on the professional circuit. But this isn’t about action-packed gameplay; rather, it’s about being able to react in real-time to situations that arise during the match.

At the start of Tennis Manager 26, you design your character however you like. Hairstyle, outfit, racket design, physique—everything is customizable. Then it’s time to get started: You choose how to enter the tennis world—whether as an independent player, through a local club, an association, or an academy—provided you’re scouted.

A tennis role-playing game?

What’s particularly interesting: “My Player” has a much stronger RPG feel than the classic manager mode. You level up your athlete through training, unlocking a skill tree that lets you define their playing style—such as a solid baseline player or an aggressive serve-and-volleyer. Fitness and mental strength must be cultivated just as much as technical skills.

During matches, you guide your character through decisive moments, regulate intensity and heart rate, adapt tactical patterns to an improved AI, and react in real time to the flow of the game. Between matches, you analyze your opponents and adjust your game plans. A five-star popularity system and a so-called “GOAT Ladder” measure your influence in the tennis world.
