The Surge - Graphics Comparison: Low, Medium and Very High Compared by PixelPerfect

The Action RPG The Surge shines with a charming industrial setting in a post apocalyptic world. Deck13 brings to life a highly detailed world with various video settings on display. For our graphics comparison on PixelPerfect, we have three levels of detail at 1080p resolution compared for you.

There are some games which are hard to spot any differences between each graphical preset and would need a magnifying glass to identify them. And then there are technical wonders such as The Surge, that has a range of options to make the game look brilliant with presets from Very High to Medium still offering great quality. It does suffer a little on the Low preset with some ugly looking textures in play, but that doesn't hurt the game much and should offer gamers a nicer experience on lower end hardware.

In our video graphics comparison with The Surge, we will take a look at the graphic presets to see which one will look the best for you (and what you may have to dial down). The Surge was played on a GTX 1080 Ti (which did manage to survive 4k on Very High most of the time). In the first graphics comparison with The Surge, we check the Very High, Medium and Low graphic presets at 1920x1080.

Note: The game will look better on your hardware than YouTube. Due to the way compression is handled, some videos will have reduced quality. In our recordings for our PixelPerfect channel, we take care to record as much as possible without quality loss. For the video cut, the professionals from our partner Caseking are responsible.

PixelPerfect is a community project of Caseking, Overclockers UK and Gamesplanet. We supply the Games - Caseking the hardware (Overclockers UK is a hardware supplier from England)
