Titanfall 2 - DLC Coming May 30th, includes New Map and New Titan!
Respawn continues it's mission to add more content to Titanfall 2, New Map and Titan coming on May 30th to all players for free! Say hello to the Monarch Titan and Relic Map.
When Respawn said they would be giving all future content for free it was a surprise to many gamers who were used to the whole "Season Pass" method that many developers have adopted, thankfully it seems to be keeping true and they have no signs to slow down with their next DLC arriving next week. The DLC will bring with it a New Titan, a New Map and updates to one of the popular maps in Titanfall 2 - Crashsite, which was plagued by collision issues and the developers have hopefully fixed it to avoid players being stuck within the level.
A trailer will be arriving tomorrow, but let's take a rundown of the things you can expect with the upcoming DLC when it launches on May 30th.
New Titan: Monarch
A new Titan is coming to Titanfall 2, say hello to the Monarch. She is a a mid-range Vanguard-class Titan that can upgrade itself on the battlefield through her unique Upgrade Core, which will allow Pilots to pick a path of upgrades as they wait for her to reach Monarch's ultimate form (we're getting flashbacks to Dragon Ball Z). Monarch can also use other Titans to help her by drawing power from them to power her shields or her ally Titans.
New Prime Titans
Ronin and Tone Prime
Not much else to say, enjoy shiny new coloured Prime Titans with Ronin and Tone getting the Prime treatment in orange and white paint!
New Map: Relic
Relic Map
Relic will take place among the wreckage of the IMC carrier IMS Odyssey, where Pilots have managed to create paths to wall run between buildings by using some of the crashed ship's wreck. The level itself will take place between two town areas, with the Odyssey ship smack bang in the middle.
Map Update: Crashsite
Crashsite has been updated and at least 100 improvements should prevent players from being stuck in the map, plus they have improved mobility in the map by adding 8 new ziplines and some new wallrunning spots to help players navigate the level easier.
Nessie approved these changes.
New Execution:
Now You See Me [Cloak]
Not much is known about this new execution, but the upcoming trailer should give us a glimpse at it in action.
New Purchasable Store Content:
- Nose art
- Camos
- Callsigns
Titan Brawl will be making it's return to Titanfall 2's Featured Mode on May 30th, when it arrives it will give players a chance to get double XP on every mode. Major Balance changes will also be coming, that should hit shortly after the patch has gone live that will hopefully bring some welcome changes.
Titanfall 2's next DLC will launch on May 30th.
