When it comes to RTS games, developer Creative Assembly have crafted some of the finest games in the genre with their Total War games that have spanned multiple eras over the 18 year journey the series has gone on. In this new video from Gamespot they break down the series from it's humble beginnings and beyond, with even more Total War games on the horizon this year. RTS fans are able to enjoy great tactical freedom as they control various armies from historic periods. Each game raised the bar even further as they continued to add systems and fine-tune the experience to new heights.
Total War Games (2000-2018)
The series has enjoyed a number of titles that has taken the series from Japan to Rome, and even brought to life the Warhammer fantasy universe with a trilogy of games centered around the table-top series. Later this year we'll see two new Total War games as Total War Saga: Thrones of Britannia and Total War: Three Kingdoms when they arrive, plus any DLC that Creative Assembly has tucked away up their sleeves.
