Pre-release check: The best clips of Warhammer 40K Space Marine 2 so far

The third-person spectacle Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 is due to be released on September 9th. Not only Warhammer fans are celebrating the fascinating graphics in advance - the shooter generally seems to be well received in previews. Here are the best videos of the game so far.

Only a few weeks to go until Focus Entertainment and developer Saber Interactive unleash a real graphic hammer with a Warhammer licence: Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 will be released on 9 September 2024. You couldn't help but be amazed when the first trailers showed the first gameplay scenes a few months ago. The underlying Swarm Engine seems to be ideal for the third-person shooter. In World War Z, the proprietary engine was already able to show how well it can handle the visualisation of hundreds of enemies. And there will be many enemies in Warhammer 40K Space Marine 2 (highlight word being many). Initial gameplay scenes promise Warhammer carnage at its finest.

Warhammer 40K Space Marine continues the story of Captain Titus, who now fights against the insect-like Tyranids - with all the brutality of a well-armoured Space Marine. Futuristic firearms and melee tools such as the chainsaw sword (introduced here in the video playlist) are the ‘Weapons of Choice’ for the Emperor's strongest fighters. The game offers you a mixture of melee and ranged combat amidst huge hordes of enemies. Space Marine 2 features a single player campaign as well as a co-op mode for 3 players with six different classes and a 6v6 Versus mode for PvP multiplayer. Of particular interest to Warhammer fans: The action takes place during the fourth Tyranid War in the era of Indomitus.
