What keeps Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 players hooked after completing the main campaign? Currently, you can dive into three PvP modes and six co-op missions, but that’s just the beginning. Publisher Focus Entertainment has presented a roadmap with future content updates – all of which will be free.
Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 – Upcoming Content
Part of the grand plan to expand Space Marine 2 in 2024 and 2025 includes new PvE missions, an additional difficulty level, fresh enemy types, and even a training arena.
Plans for 2024
As early as September 2024, developer Saber Interactive will roll out support for ultrawide monitors, integrate private PvE lobbies, and introduce the "Battle Barge Sparring Arena" – all for free, boosting the replay value of Space Marine 2.
After September, but still in 2024, more PvE missions will be added to the game, alongside a new difficulty level, a new enemy type, and a new weapon – the Neo-Volkite Pistol. As part of the (paid) Season Pass, more cosmetic DLC items will be introduced, including the Dark Angels Champion, Cosmetic, and Weapon Skin Pack. The Season Pass is already included in the Gold and Ultra Editions.
Plans for 2025
In 2025, the distribution of free updates continues. The roadmap promises more PvE missions, new PvP modes, new PvP arenas (including an expansion of the Battle Barge Arena), a new enemy type, and prestige ranks in PvE mode. Later in 2025, a Horde mode will be introduced, along with another new weapon, which you can test out against a newly introduced enemy.
For Season Pass holders, 2025 will also bring new Champion and Cosmetic Packs, as well as a Weapon Skin Pack.
