Borderlands 2: New Easter Egg alludes to Stranger Things

Almost seven years after the release, there's still plenty to find in Borderlands 2 as players uncover new Easter Eggs in the latest DLC - including a Stranger Things reference! Have you found it?

Okay, who is not a fan of Stranger Things? Well, now that we all agree to be fans of the series (which will soon continue with a third season) we can all take a look at the recent Easter Egg in Borderlands 2. Technically, this hasn't been around for seven years, but has recently been added with the release of the free DLC Commander Lilith & The Fight for Sanctuary. This latest DLC sets up the upcoming Borderlands 3 and will be Free until July 8th, after which it will cost $15. It also includes over 10 hours of content with new missions, areas, weapons, skins and more!

Then during one of the in-game missions you'll discover a Yellow box, which contains the Torgue Eggos Waffles. Connoisseurs of the Netflix series will immediately recognize the allusion as they are Eleven's favorite waffles from Stranger Things. With the writing on the side "Property of 11", it's definitely a nod to the show. A user points in the Stranger Things Reddit with photo proof of the box in the game.
