Ready for Download? No its not

Can someone from Gamesplanet please explain why when preordering games such as Bus Sim 18 I receive an email stating that the game is ready for download on the release day when the game is not due to be released for download for a few more hours.

For example, I have gotten an email for Bus Sim 18 this morning to say it is ready for download but is is not ready for download because it is not being released to 5 pm GMT my time so it is a false statement and means that the game is not ready for download for another 8 hours.

If the ready for download statement refers to the key from my games planet account then again that is misleading because the games are not downloaded from gamesplanet but from places such as steam so ready for activation or something similar would be better but I have had bus sim 18 in my steam library waiting for release today to download for over a week as you give me the steam activation key a few minutes after preorder.

It was just a thought because saying something is ready to download when it is not is misleading and can be very disappointing to a gamer like myself

same here because it is not due to be published on steam till between about 4 pm and 6 pm depending on where in the EU you live. For me, it will go live on steam at about 5 pm GMT. This is why I think it is misleading to send an email to say ready for download when it is clearly not and then that leads to being disappointed.

Hey guys, the emails sent out can often reflect when keys are available and not the game itself being out. At times it can also be a case of publishers giving us wrong times for the release of their games which may indicate the game is out ahead of time and is something we try to avoid.

It's not our intention to mislead anyone and we honestly don't do it on purpose - though there are sometimes conflicting times out there for the release of titles and we do our best to avoid this. I understand there if you've pre-ordered a game seeing a "DOWNLOAD" now ahead of time can be confusing but we try to avoid that.
