Good day

I do understand that this is an EU game code but will using a VPN to one of the above mention countries work? I am from South Africa and have an EU Battlenet account afaik.

You'll need an EU Battle Net account and being in Europe to activate the code. If you meet both of those requirements it'll work for you.

On the Battle Net account page you'll see an area which displays your Battle Net region for your account. This must be an EU account or it will not work.
