DIVE or DIE - Children of Rain is a true survival roguelite with a strong Lovecraftian influence. You not only control the hero named Jack, but also command an entire camp of desperate survivors. During the day, you assign tasks, craft gear, and expand your base. At night, you head down into the Abyssal Pool, a dark underwater labyrinth full of sunken ruins, mutated creatures, and valuable relics. Oxygen is the scarcest resource of all, and every dive could be your last.

The goal of the game: Find the sacred relics before the final flood buries everything beneath it. You can feel the clock ticking, day by day.

Endless Mode for Relaxed Divers

If you find the countdown in DIVE or DIE too stressful, you can now activate Endless Mode. In this mode, the time limit disappears completely, and you can no longer get a “Game Over” due to a timeout. However, the developer makes it clear that this is a relaxed alternative option, not the actual way the game is meant to be played. Some achievements remain disabled in this mode, and you still can’t completely let go as the UI and dialogs continue to remind you that the clock is still ticking.
