As far as we know yes, though you can always remove that version from your account on Steam if you'd prefer to not take the risk.

Would recommend removing the RU version first if that's what you have to avoid any problems.

Thanks for the help. I decided to activate it without removing the RU version and it worked. Both versions show up in my Steam library.

Edit: had to remove the RU version from the account after all because the new one was attempting to install it when I clicked play. Everything works fine now.
