Actually, two Uplay service representatives have informed me that no information on activation restriction is officially known. Their advice was to wait until the release date to find out how to buy the English version.

At any rate, I hope Uplay makes it easy for others to play the game in English. They are known, just like Origin, to restrict languages only from within their Uplay shop. I hope the key will work; otherwise, this is really, let us say it mildly, unfair.
