Did you read that forum I posted? There are a lot of things there to try. You could try deactivating your anti virus and Windows Firewall.

@Lithium- well creating a new standard user helped my problems a little.
Using this standard windows account I can now launch GTA V launcher- log onto R* social club- and THEN I get an infinite loading screen!
R* have apologised for the delay, but I opened the ticket 5 days ago- have had a single response.
Not impressed I am afraid.

Downloaded with Gamesplanet launcher, speed was stable, though around 1.7 MB/s. As I understand, these are packed installation files, I am now extracting them and then install the game from the extracted, that right? Means it takes around 180 gb (60gb from downloader + 60 gb from extraction + 60 gb the installed game)? Is it safe to delete downloaded files after extracting them?
