Monster Hunter Wilds: Capcom announces major anniversary update with new endgame quests and crossover

Monster Hunter Wilds is getting a monstrous update on February 18 with 10-star challenges, anniversary events, community content—here's a look at the future of the game, with producer Ryozo Tsujimoto as the bearer of good news.

Capcom has unveiled the next major update for Monster Hunter Wilds (currently available at half price for a limited time on Gamesplanet), which will be released on February 18 and round off the game's first year. In a video message, producer Ryozo Tsujimoto gives an overview of new endgame content, limited-time events, and upcoming plans. Capcom has also released another update trailer.

Apart from the update, Tsujimoto also confirmed that a major expansion modeled on previous series add-ons is already in the works. Capcom plans to provide specific information about this in the summer. Until then, sharpen your blades, because the endgame will be tougher than ever!

Experienced hunters can look forward to new challenges in Monster Hunter Wilds. With the V1.041 update, a battle-hardened Arkveld is coming as a 10-star event quest. In addition, four already known Arch-Titan monsters will also be raised to this highest difficulty level. Those who consider themselves particularly skilled hunters can try their hand at an extremely challenging multi-monster hunt, which is specifically designed for endgame players and offers better chances of obtaining high-quality ancient talismans.

At the same time, the anniversary event celebrating the first birthday of Monster Hunter Wilds will begin. During the promotional period, you will receive a special item package when you log in. In addition, previous seasonal events will return on a weekly basis, allowing you to catch up on any content you may have missed.

The community will also be in the spotlight: the winners of the Weapon Design Contest for weapons and pendants will be integrated into the game via event quests. In addition, Capcom will permanently immortalize the names of 16 finalists in the credits. What an honor! This also adds another new greatsword to the game. Complete the event quest “Every Hunter's Dream” to receive the award-winning weapon and pendant designs.

Another exciting development is the upcoming collaboration with Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection, which you can already pre-order on Gamesplanet (release date: March 13).
