Gamesplanet Spring Sale 2018: Day 6 Guide
The end is almost upon us and it's Day 6 of our Spring Sale, but we've got some great new offers for you to go out with a bang on! Destiny 2 (Action / First Person Shooter)
The MMO Shooter Destiny 2 finally arrived on PC last year, and with it an enjoyable shooter that has a rock solid PC port capable of running at 4k 60 FPS (if your system can handle it). As you begin you'll be able to pick one of 3 classes (Warlock, Titan or Hunter) and each one has their own unique abilities, for example the Titan is a "Tank" and is capable of withstanding more damage and shieldiing allies. The game features a number of activities, you have the story campaign which sees you travel the galaxy to reunite the resistance to launch an attack on Ghaul. There's also PVP available if you want to fight against other players and complete for high valued rewards. As you exaplore each of the planets you can find a world of hidden activites like Lost Sectors that are tucked away in corners of the map that offer a "mini dungeon" experience and give powerful rewards by defeating a boss. Players can also take on greater challenges with the Strike Missions or take on the raids with a larger group.

TEKKEN 7 (Fighting / Multiplayer)
The long awaited debut of fighting brawler Tekken has finally made it's way to PC with the release of Tekken 7 last year. As tensions between martial artist Heihachi Mishima and his son, Kazuya heat up in an ultimate showdown to see who the best fighter actually is. Tekken 7 features a number of modes, including being able to take on Bowling (with the Season Pass / DLC) and more traditional modes like Arcade and Story Mode - which will see you play as various characters from the Tekken franchise as you uncover secrets in the saga. All of this backed up with gratifying martial art moves, and a fluid system that allows even novices a way to pull off some satisfying combos makes this one of the best fighters on PC.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Definitive Experience (Open World / Stealth / Action)
The Metal Gear franchise has been going since the late 80's and the Metal Gear Solid V: The Definitive Experience brings the series to PC for the first time! Metal Gear Solid V: The Definitive Experience is made up of Metal Gear V Ground Zeroes, which is prequel to Metal Gear V Phantom Pain and involves Big Boss infiltrating a facility to rescue his friends who are being held by the paramilitary force XOF. Though a limited section to play with, you're given a night time setting that can be done either Stealthy or by going in full force to extract them. Metal Gear Phantom Pain is where the real fun begins, this is a large open world game that takes place after the events of Ground Zeroes. Big Boss awakens 9 years later in a hospital bed, and it's not long before he's leading the Diamond Dogs aboard his own Mother Base Oil Rig - which can be later customised/upgraded to allow a larger force and also be used in infiltrating other bases. Missions take as "episodes", that can be done in almost any order (though some unlocking is required to progress further). Using the FOX engine, the world comes alive as a large desert is your sandbox and Big Boss can find new side missions within the world. You can also get companions to help you out, such as the lovely sniper Quiet or the faithful Dog DD - each has their own unique abilities to help out in combat.

Project Cars 2 (Racing / Simulation)
When it launched back in 2015, Project CARS was one of the most realistic driving experiences ever made - with a team who previously worked on Need for Speed: Shift and Shift 2. Now 2 years later we get the sequel Project CARS 2 which pushes the series even further by offering more customisation, more tracks, more cars and a larger racing game than it's predecessor. Batman Arkham City is the second entry in the highly popular Dark Knight open world action game, taking place after the events of Asylum things do not look great for our hero who is thrown inside Arkham City - a locked City that is filled with all of the worst kinds of criminals that Gotham has seen. Everything about being Batman is represented in great detail, from gliding around the open world to using his range of gadgets to help him solve puzzles or take down enemies. Combat is free flowing and you can chain together some great moves while mixing things up by using counters at the push of a button to stave off damage, which can be easy to learn but takes some practice to master combos! The game has a range of great characters that you'll meet, such as The Joker, Penguin, Mr Freeze, Poison Ivy and even Catwoman - who is a playable character for certain sections of the game. As well as great combat, a fantastic open world and top notch voice acting you also have Riddler puzzles littered throughout the city which test your detective skills in new ways. Hidden Gem of the Day: South Park: The Stick of Truth (RPG / Adventure)
The Hidden Gem of the day today is the RPG South Park: The Stick of Truth, which is almost like playing an episode of the show itself. The gang of South Park have been on our TV screens for 20 years and during their run we've had some weird games, most were not very good. Luckily the RPG masterminds Obsidian Entertainment, who were the team behind classics such as Neverwinter Nights 2 (Obsidian) and Fallout: New Vegas, came to the rescue in 2013 when they released South Park: The Stick of Truth. This Action RPG gave put players in the shoes of the new kid, who recently moved to South Park and was trying to make friends with Cartman, Stan and friends in search of the Stick of Truth. As an RPG you're going to be taking on various quests as you travel the world, with the same humour and characters you know from the show. This is probably one of the best South Park games or licensed games ever to be created and the sequel is just as amazing.
