The Eternal Life of Goldman: The composers talk about their work

Music plays a central role in The Eternal Life of Goldman, and not just for the atmosphere of the game. In a new behind-the-scenes video, the composers responsible for the soundtrack have their say - their names literally make you sit up and take notice.

For the platformer The Eternal Life of Goldman, developer Weappy Studio and publisher THQ Nordic have been able to engage renowned composers. Among them: Kevin Penkin (Made in Abyss, Florence, Star Wars: Visions), Mason Lieberman (Overwatch 2, Stray Gods, League of Legends: Wild Rift), Pete Lepley (Wargroove, Sky Rogue) - and a highlight for many RPG fans: Yasunori Nishiki, the sound magician behind Octopath Traveler and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth.

With his melodies, Nishiki in particular brings a feeling of sound to the game that you can feel as soon as the first bar sounds. In THQ Nordic's behind-the-scenes video, he talks about his work for The Eternal Life of Goldman - and why a good soundtrack is sometimes worth a thousand words. He also plays some chords and gets the audience in the mood for the release in the near future.
